Sharks Defenseman Hasselberg Makes College Commitment

The Long Beach Sharks of the North American 3 Hockey League are proud to announce that defenseman, David Hasselberg, has committed to play ACHA Division II college hockey for Trine University (Angola, Indiana).

Hasselberg spent one season in the NA3HL with the Long Beach Sharks. During the 2025-26 season, he recorded three points during the regular season. He had one goal and 2 assists throughout 35 games. 

“David was a solid and reliable presence on defense for us this past season. We wish him all the best as he continues on to Trine as a student athlete,” Said Sharks Head Coach Jeff Tory.

Hasselberg’s best performance of the year came during his season opener on Jan. 10 against the Norwich Sea Captains. He scored one goal to aid in the Sharks’ 6-3 victory over the Sea Captains.

Hasselberg is one of six players from the Long Beach Sharks to make a college commitment this season.
