Cyclones Forward Hofmann Makes College Commitment

The Wausau Cyclones of the North American 3 Hockey League are proud to announce that forward Eiji Hofmann has committed to play NCAA Division III college hockey for New England College (Henniker, New Hampshire).

Hofmann has spent two seasons in the NA3HL with the Cyclones. His improvement was evident as the 20252-2026 season was his most successful statistically.

Hofmann recorded 52 points across 47 games this season. He recorded 16 goals and 36 assists. 

In February of 2026, Hofmann was selected to compete in the Top Prospects Tournament. The tournament consisted of the best uncommitted players in NA3HL and the NAHL. Hofmann represented the NA3HL on team Red. He recorded one assist during the tournament. 

Hofmann had multiple 3 point games during the season. One of his best performances from the year came on Dec. 7 against the St. Louis Jr. Blues. He scored two goals and recorded one assist to aid in the Cyclones 5-2 victory over St. Louis.

Hofmann is one of six players from the Wausau Cyclones to make a college commitment this season.
