Granite City Forward Sankey Makes College Commitment

The Granite City Lumberjacks of the North American 3 Hockey League are proud to announce that forward Easton Sankey has committed to play ACHA Division I college hockey for Iowa State (Ames, Iowa).

Sankey has spent two seasons in the NA3HL. He had a short stint with the Granite City Lumberjacks before joining the Northeast Generals in the 2024-2025 season. He rejoined the Lumberjacks for the 2025-2026 season, which was his most successful season. He had 30 points during the regular season, plus an additional four points throughout the playoff season.

He recorded 14 goals and 16 assists for the regular season. 

His best performance this season was on Feb. 7 against the Willmar Warhawks. He had three points, consisting of two goals and one assist to aid the Lumberjacks in a 13-0 shutout victory.

Sankey was a part of the 2026 Fraser Cup Championship winning team.

Sankey is one of seven players from the Granite City Lumberjacks to make a college commitment this season.
