Alexandria Forward Hubmer Makes College Commitment

The Alexandria Blizzard of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward Reece Hubmer has committed to play ACHA Division I college hockey for Iowa State University (Ames, Iowa).

This past season the New Richmond, Wisconsin native proved once again to be a reliable piece of the offense for the Blizzard. Across Hubmer’s three seasons in Alexandria, the forward has played in 115 games and recorded 81 points. 

This past season was Hubmer’s most successful as he recorded 31 points including 16 goals and 15 assists in 40 games.

The best performances of the season from the Blizzard veteran came against the Willmar Warhawks on Nov. 22 and Jan. 9. In those two games, Hubmer scored a hat trick and helped lead his team to victory on home ice. Those two games also accounted for both of his three point performances on the season. 

Hubmer is one of six players from the Alexandria Blizzard to make a college commitment this season.
