Long Beach 8 @ New Jersey 3 - The Long Beach Sharks didn’t waste any time making a statement at the Middletown Sports Complex. Ryder Pisiak opened the scoring late in the first, and from there it was all gas, no brakes. Caden Shafer struck twice in a seven-minute span to blow things open, sending the Sharks into the intermission up 3-0 and firmly in control. New Jersey tried to claw back in the second. Yosef Pievsky finally put the Titans on the board midway through the frame, and after Brady Gatchell answered for Long Beach, Lincoln Walters capitalized on the power play to keep things interesting. For a moment, there was life. But every time the Titans leaned in, the Sharks pushed back harder. Gustav Martinsson and Tegan O’Brien added third-period insurance, stretching the lead and draining any remaining momentum from the Titans’ bench. Ivan Korshikov buried one late, but it was too little, too late. Pisiak capped his two-goal night with a dagger at 17:52 to seal the 8-3 final. Shafer’s two-goal burst set the tone, and Will Zinnen handled the rest, turning aside 29 shots between the pipes. On the other end, Tony Shaw and Landon Bullock combined to face 32 shots in a long night against a relentless Sharks attack.

Austin 1 @ Texas B 5 - The Texas Brahmas didn’t panic after giving up the first one at the NYTEX Sports Centre. They just took over. Austin struck first, with Nolan Deangelis finishing off a play midway through the opening period to give the Ice Bats the early jump. But that was about as comfortable as the night would get for the visitors. The second period flipped everything. Benjamin Humphreys lit the spark on the power play late in the frame, ripping home the equalizer to shift the momentum. A few minutes later, Xavier Othon buried one to give Texas its first lead of the night, and you could feel the game tilting hard in the Brahmas’ favor. By the third, it was all Texas. Humphreys struck again for his second of the night, James Ingle followed with one of his own, and Joshua Reaska hammered home a late power-play goal to put a bow on it. What started as a tight game turned into a 5-1 statement. Humphreys led the charge with two goals and an assist, while Othon added a goal and a helper of his own. Between the pipes, Gavin Erickson was steady all night, turning aside 35 of 36 shots and slamming the door whenever Austin tried to push back. Texas finished with a 48-36 edge in shots and made good on two of four power plays. Even more telling? The penalty kill went a perfect five-for-five, wiping out every Ice Bats opportunity.

Buzz 3 @ Norwich 2 (OT) - The Buzz are headed to the postseason. With a gritty 3-2 overtime win at the Rosegarden Ice Arena, the Buzz punched their ticket and clinched a spot in the playoffs, and they did it the hard way. Jaylen Nurse wasted no time setting the tone, striking shorthanded just over two minutes into the first to quiet the building. But Norwich answered on the power play less than 20 seconds later, and just like that, it was game on. The Sea Captains grabbed their first lead midway through the second when Logan Niesen found the back of the net, putting pressure right back on the Buzz. They didn’t blink. A couple minutes later, Keegan Elliott buried the equalizer to knot things up at two and reset the battle heading into the third. From there, it turned into the Dalton Elliott show. Norwich poured on the pressure, firing everything they had toward the net, but Elliott stood tall. Shot after shot, 53 in total, and he kept turning them aside, giving the Buzz the chance they needed. That chance came early in overtime. On the power play, Brady Ishu finished it off just 1:10 into the extra frame, with Theo Fritz and Nurse setting the table. Game over. Playoff berth secured. Fifty-one saves from Elliott. Timely goals. Special teams that delivered when it mattered most. And now, a postseason spot locked in.

Long Beach 1 @ Maine 2  - Call it an upset…and a loud one. At the Norway Savings Bank Arena, the Maine Nordiques knocked off the favored Long Beach Sharks with a gritty 2-1 win that had the building buzzing. Long Beach struck first late in the second period when Eli McCarthy capitalized on the power play, giving the Sharks the lead and, it seemed, control. They were the heavy favorites coming in, and for stretches, they looked the part, piling up shots and pressing the pace. But Maine didn’t fold. Brody Emond answered midway through the period, finishing off a rush to tie things up and swing the momentum. Just under two minutes later, Vincent Campbell delivered the biggest punch of the night, burying a power-play goal that turned out to be the game-winner. Then it became the Riley Burnett show. Long Beach unleashed everything, 55 shots in total, but Burnett was flat-out heroic, turning aside 54 of them. Point-blank looks, traffic in front, second chances, he erased them all. On the other end, Nicklas Walker was solid, but the Sharks only managed 18 shots and couldn’t solve Burnett after their lone tally. The Sharks had the edge on paper. The Nordiques had the edge where it mattered.
