Midweek Magic: New Hampshire and Long Beach Roll in the East

New Jersey 2 @ Long Beach 3 (OT) - The Long Beach Sharks defeated the New Jersey Titans 3-2 in overtime on February 11 at Long Beach Municipal Ice Arena. New Jersey opened the scoring in the first period as Kane Clark found the back of the net, assisted by Mikhail Mishin and Brody Acropolis. Long Beach answered midway through the frame when Sean Bailey scored off assists from James Steinberg and Gustav Martinsson. The Sharks then took a 2-1 lead as Wyatt Strahan scored, with help from James DiTommaso and Steinberg. In the second period, the Titans evened the game at 2-2 when Ivan Korshikov scored, assisted by Yosef Pievsky and Mishin. After a scoreless third period, Long Beach secured the win just four seconds into overtime. Jace Tourtillott netted the game-winner on the power play, assisted by Spencer Nicoloff and Gustav Martinsson.
Maine 2 @ New Hampshire 5 - The New Hampshire Jr. Mountain Kings defeated the Maine Nordiques 5-2 on February 11 at Delta Dental Arena. New Hampshire struck early in the first period as Evan Yates opened the scoring, assisted by Kyle Bouvier and Matej Dvorsky. The Mountain Kings extended their lead when Nick Brophy found the back of the net, with help from Dvorsky and Jacob Landry. In the second period, Jacob Landry added to the lead on the power play, assisted by Brophy and Andrew Chandler, making it 3-0. New Hampshire continued to control the game in the third. Tommy Titone scored on the power play, assisted by Noah Levesque and Dvorsky, to push the lead to 4-0. Maine got on the board when Peyton Dyer scored on the power play, with assists from Brody Emond and Gavin Gleghorn. The Mountain Kings answered back with a power-play goal from Kyle Bouvier, assisted by Dvorsky and Anthony Ayala. Jaxson Sardinha added a late power-play goal for Maine, assisted by Emond and Gleghorn, to make it 5-2.
