Commanding Victories Set the Tone on Sunday

Carolina 1 @ Atlanta 5 - The Atlanta Capitals skated to a convincing 5–1 victory over the Carolina Rage in the matchup, continuing their strong run of play. Atlanta struck early with two first-period goals and carried the momentum through the remainder of the game, adding two more in the second and one in the third. The Capitals controlled the pace offensively, outshooting Carolina 40–35, while keeping the Rage off the scoreboard on the power play. Despite a chippy contest that featured a combined 66 penalty minutes, Atlanta remained composed and effective at even strength. Carolina managed a lone second-period goal but struggled to generate sustained pressure as the Capitals’ defense and goaltending held firm down the stretch, setting the stage for a standout individual performance up front. The Capitols’ leading scorer Jaylen Fluhr stayed hot, netting a hat trick and now found the back of the net in the last six consecutive games.

Louisiana 16 @ Bayou State 1 - The Louisiana Drillers put on an overwhelming display of firepower, dismantling the Bayou State Rougarou 16–1 in a dominant afternoon performance. Louisiana wasted no time asserting control, scoring four times in the opening period before exploding for six goals in both the second and third frames. The Drillers flooded the offensive zone all game, outshooting Bayou State 76–11 and never allowing the Rougarou to recover after their lone first-period goal. Brayden Pelcl and Dayton Ruppel each recorded two-goal performances, while Kadyn Garcia added a goal in the rout. 

Austin 13 @ Tulsa 0 - The Austin Ice Bats battled the Tulsa Oilers for the third time this weekend to close out their three game series. The Ice Bats have dominated the season series going undefeated so far, and this game was no different. Matthieu Leblanc would get the scoring started seven minutes into the game. Georgii Tokarskii would score two more with both on the power play. The Ice Bats would add two more goals before the end of the period to go up 5-0. In the second, it was the Mason Manderfield show as he completed the hat trick scoring three goals in one period. In the third, special teams proved to be the difference as the Ice Bats added four goals with the man advantage. The Ice Bats take this one 13-0 over the Tulsa Oilers in a decisive fashion.
